Webster’s Dictionary defines an adventure as, “an exciting or remarkable experience,” or, “an undertaking usually involving danger and unknown risks.”
Write a minimum of 300 words describing an adventure you have had in your life. Describe in detail the people and the places involved. Make sure you discuss the conflicts encountered in your adventure and discuss the resolutions.
My adventure that i had in my life would have to be the time when me and my dad got lost driving to a patriots game. It was 2 years ago when the patriots was playing agasnt the colts. We was in indianapolis at the time so we went but my dad forgot to write down the directions down. By the time we was half way there he forgot and ask me i told him that he had the.directions We took about 10 minutes to look for it. My dad said that he thinks he khows the way, so i belived him. About 20 minutes later he said that he had no clue where we was. But finally he mad up and ask for directions. We took the kind mans direcetions and found the Lucas Oil staduim. It was a great game, Patriots won But we all know that. And thats the time of one of the greatest adventures i ever had.
ReplyDeleteThe time when i had the adventure of my life. it was like 2 or 3 years ago but i remember it like it was yesterday. Me and my dad was going to a patriots game. My dad forgot to write down how to get their and when we was driving he ask me if i remember it. I told him "no i thought you wrote down the way". He said he forgot. We took an hour to finally ask for the way to lucas oil satium. We found the way and thankfuly we wasn't late for the first quater. The patriots won ofcourse, the score was Patriots 42- Colts 24. It was one of the best game's i ever saw. That's the time of one of my best adventure.
ReplyDeleteAn adventure I had was when I was little and went to Canada. We were there to go to a festival full of lights. I went to a park and got lost I the woods with my aunt. We looked for the way out but all the signs were in French so we couldn’t read them. So we kept taking wrong turns. Eventually it got dark and I was scared. All you heard were the sounds of crickets everywhere. Soon we saw a light in the distance. When we got closer to the light we saw it was a ranger cabin. When we got inside the ranger didn’t know any English so we were trying to explain to him that we needed a way back to the front of the park. We tried to do charades, draw pictures and sing language but nothing worked. Soon he just got tired of us and went into the other room. While he was gone we searched the cabin for a phone. We searched everywhere for a phone but when we found one it was broken. So we looked for another. We found one in the other room where the ranger was. When we called the main station no one could speak English there either. So they were looking for someone to translate. It took them thirty minutes to find someone who could speak English. When they did we told them we got lost and where we were. When the other rangers finally showed up they had a flat tire. So we had to walk the rest of the way back. Finally we got back to the front of the park we were just in time for the festival. There were a lot of lights and bright colors. You could smell food everywhere you turned.
ReplyDeleteAn adventure i had in my life was when my team and i went to AAU nationals in Orlando,Florida which is a Basketball tournament for every team in the country,and we were driving to orlando while we on the highway are coach kept getting phone calls and he was already getting mad because we were making alot of noises and we kept missing our exits.So when we got on the highway my friend Jordan started to prank call my coach and so when we hopped on 75 south our coach started to forget whether to hop off the exit so we had to get off at a wrong exit and stop at a gas station and ask.Next the bad thing was that we it was night time and very dark so we where lost.Then when we where leaving the gas station we started to smell this nasty smell and we had realize our coach had took a #2 on herself.And we were on a big bus and you could smell it like it was nothing.So that made us make another stop,so then my dad had offered to drive the bus so when dad started to drive and find the highway we suddenly here this big bang in the front of the bus and we realize we had hit a deer and everybody was like so frustrated but we were so geeked and ready to compete against all teams across the world.Then everyone stomach started to growl so our coach decideed to take us to Bennihanas and eat and the food was so great that when we got on the bus we all were knocked out and then the next morning everyone woke up happy and ready then we realize we were in orlando.Finally our coach had told us in the last 10 hours it has been hectered so theres no reason for us to lose.And when we played we won all of our games,but we lost in the championship andnamed 2nd best team in the country in 12&under nationals out of 256 teams.And thats the time of one of my favorite adventures.

Me and my friends from my old neighborhood used to walk around the woods in the back of our old complex. I remember this one day we were walking around and we found this ring laying on the ground. It was very expensive and we didn't know what to do with it, so we took it back to our little fort that we had made to hide or whatever and examed it. It got kinda dark and we were arguing on who was going to be the one who got to take it home with them. I won of course being one of the only girls. So that night passed and by 10' in the morning everyone was waiting on me at the fort to see the ring again. After looking at it for a while we went back out to the woods a began to look for what we thought "more treasure". Unfortunatly we found nothing but we still had the ring as our forts special prize. That is the best adventure that i've had in my life so far.

An adventure in my life happened when I was seven years old. My mother and my three sisters all moved to Toledo, Ohio . My mother was originally from ohio and we had family lots of family members who stayed down there. So one day I went to my aunt trina's house which is my mothers older sister. My auntie had 5 kids who stayed with her so everytime I came over we would have fun. But I would have the most fun with my cousin dominique. She is one of my favorite cousins , we talked about any and everything. Thats is why everytime i came over it would always be us too linked together. So my auntie stayed in this little apartment complex down the street from this weird old house. So we would always go outside and ride our bikes and play outside like regular little kids. One day all of us were outside playing in the back of the apartments catching lizards and frogs and little cups like we were animal catchers. So it got late and my cousin began to tell scary stories about the apartments and the old house.I didnt believe them so I wanted to go check it out for myself so we all went to the old house . When we approached the house we looked at it and all the old vines that had grown on the porch over the years it had been abandoned. The story was that a women died in that house a long time ago and her spirit still haunts the property. But i need to see to believe not just assume that it is true. So we walked up the porch and looked through the window. all you could see was a chair in a room . So i opened the door and we all walked in . We went no further then the living rom because we were so scared . Then we seen a rat run across the floor and we ran out the house screaming. For that little time we were in there I still didnt see a ghost so I wasnt worried about it. But that was an adventure in itself just because we took the risk of going into that house

ReplyDeleteThe best adventure that I've had, well at least from what I can remember. Well It was Me, my dad, my Uncle, and his son, and my uncles friend. Well we were having or adventure in the woods of Alabama, I cant remember where we was actually at. Anyway so we all got up early to pack up the car and was head towards are two day adventure. It was a long ride there, but we finally got there. As we all got out of are cars, we ventured around to get use to the spot and to where we was going to be camping out for the night. So as my dad and my uncle where setting up the tent, he told me and my cousin to go out on the four wheeler and collect some wood. We were having a bomb fire tonight, so me and my cousin hopped on the four wheeler and went threw the trail and gathered wood. On our way back to the camp the four wheeler chain popped off, so we put it back on no problem. Then like a couple of drives ahead it popped off again, this time we couldn't put it back on because it actually broke this time. So we were like man what in the world and we started pushing the four wheeler and the wood back to the site. On our way back my dad and my uncle were rite dead in front of us, they knew something happened because we were out to long and they was worried. So they strapped the four wheeler back to the car and pulled it back to the site. Later on that night we had hot dogs and marsh mellows. That night it was cold as ever i couldn't sleep for nothing me and my uncle was having trouble sleeping and had a terrible night. That morning we all went out hunting for hogs and stuff, we finally found a hog it was very hard to catch it. We were running threw deep waters and and mud and stuff, but we finally caught up with it and caught it. It was still cold and me and my uncle where all like we need to get back home because we where not ready for this adventure and we was getting weak. Also they wanted to go deeper in the woods and we just was not up to the challenge. So we headed back to that camp site to pack up and leave. We all got home safe and had fun a little bit, all in all we all had fun. Next time we have a adventure like that again we are going to be ready.
Over the summer I had a great adventure. An adventure that I had was when I was young around the ages of 10 and 11, me and my family went to florida. We were there for a trip to disney world. We were amazed because we all got the chance to meet some of our favorite disney characters. My little sister was so excited when she met mickey mouse she almost fainted. Good thing I was there to break her fall. We all took a walk around the park and was so amazed. Soon we all split up and of course I was the one who got lost. I wanted to know every thing there was to know about the park. So I wasnt so surprised, but soon enough I began to cry. I was nervous and confused because I wasnt so sure what side of the park my family was located on. I kept crying and searching and soon I ranned into my oldest sister who was eating cotton candy. We both fell and it was a little embarassing. My sister was mad but she got over it when she noticed that I had tears dripping from my face. Her mood and attitude changed. We went looking for the others. My mom took us on a search for a hotel. The prices were extremely high. We found the perfect hotel, that met all of our needs and qualities. We neede time to get settled so my mom said that we'd have the chance to get a better perspective of the park the next day. That next day we got on rides and were able to meet more disney characters. There came a time when we left the park and went to a famous restaurant to havw dinner. The food was no different from our food here,but the food was delicous. Soon the trip came to an end and we returned home. Everyone was so happy and fulfilled. That summer was one of the best ones that i'v ever had. I would never forget that summer.
ReplyDeletethe best adventure i ever had was driving from Cali to atlanta.it took a while to get here but we pulled throught it.we left cali at 11:30pm it only took a day in a half to get here but it seemd like it took longer. the stats that we drove through was arizona new mexico okland texas and alibama.the state that seemed like it took the longest in was texas they say that if u go over the top of texas its the fastes way through and we tried it and i took 3hrs non-stop.i was happy to spend quality time with my fam.when we finally arived in atlanta it was a relieve but once we got out the car the air was so moist it just stuck to my skin. i herd that it would be moist i out here but i blow it off because i didnt think it would be so bad but i understude once i got out the car.that was an adventure i would never forget
ReplyDeleteAn adventure that i have had in my life was when i was a little girl and it was my first time going to disney world. i had been waiting for this trip for a very long time andit had finnally come i was very very very very happy and excicted. so when that day came we didnt leave until night time so it was alot of my family that came with us it was my auntie leighann uncle sean autnie meka uncle reggie my granny my aunt pearl my cousion male tracy daisha ashley geneva darrion darion shari seantay chris chrisean and many more and me my moma and brother we had many cars traveling with us when we arrived the next morning we checked into our hotel and since we had already had all our rest we went out to get breakfeast and after that we went back to the hotel and headed back out and went inside disney world and stayed for a couple of hours then we left and got dinner and then we we got back to the hotel we went to the pool we had so much fun it was the first time that we were spending time asa family and we stayed for a couple of weeks it was a good good good good time and one day i didnt want to stay at the hotel and i found out that they had fin without me but i didnt really care it was the first trip that we had taken as a family and knowing my family you would think that everyone would not end up getting along but we did thank god one night the adults went out and the kids were left at the hotel alone so we just went to the pool and even though we werent suppose to we still did we got in trouble but it was fun while it lasted so we didnt care finnally it was the last night so the next morning we checked out the hotel and went and got some breakfeast and headed home that was my adventure.
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time when I was a little girl, I had one great adventure. I was a four year old who had the brains of a genius. My family was taking a vacation to Orlando, Florida in the summer of 2001. We were heading to Walt Disney Land. At first I was scared to go. I was remembering all of the characters that I had seen on Disney Channel. I thought that they were fun to look at on TV, but maybe they weren’t so great in person. Since my family and I were driving there, we had to six in the car for hours and hours. As a little girl I didn’t like or want to sit in one spot all day! Later on that day, we had finally reached Orlando, Florida. As we were walking in the park, I had noticed a face painting booth. I ended up getting a Mickey Mouse face painting. Coming around the corner we went to play laser tag! I loved to play laser tag. Afterwards I saw some characters from Disney Channel. I was afraid to say “Hi” or to even stare at them for a long time. My mom and dad made me overcome my fears and made me take a picture with the Mickey Mouse. It wasn’t so bad after all. I was afraid of really nothing! I was crying for a second. Suddenly, I decided to cheer up and enjoy my day at the park. My family and I met even more characters and played tons of games. I had won a lot of games and toys. When the day was over, I was happy after all. I told my mother that I wanted to visit Walt Disney Park again. I noticed that when I got home that I had left some of my new toys at the park. After all I had a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteAn Adventure i had was when i was 7 years old and my friend kalyla and i decided to take a walk in the woods . We Left out the house anround 3 o'clock . It was very bright outside and the sun was still shining . We started off by the white fence so that way we would know where we came in at and where to leave out at . As we went in the woods we started hearing noises and quickly got scared but it was too late . We were too deep in the woods to turn back and now it was beginning to get dark . Soon it was dark and there was no way in the world we were turning back . we starting hearing noises like water and came to realize that we we near the creek . and in order to get out the woods we had to cross this creek . As we began to cross the creek we , kayla slipped and fell knee deep into the water . her entire pants were soaked in water . i pulled her up from the water and quickly we ran as fast as we could into the road and ran all the way home . we were soo scared we decided to never go back into those woods until we were older and knew how to get in and out the woods .
ReplyDeleteMy greatest adventure was when I went to Florida when I was about 11. When I went to Florida we went to the beach and I got lost with my little sister .We were in the ocean we were boogie boarding .We didn't know that the tide was carrying us out .When we got out we stop to talk to some people .We started to walk down the beach and we couldn't find my cousin. So we kept walking and it was like an hour before some one stops us and as us did we know was we were. He said I was going in circle so he took us to a waiting room. He call my sister mom no one answered the phone. So we sat there for a long time. Then the man came in there and told us that her step mom was come to get us. When she got there she took us out to eat when we where eating that same man that got us back with my cousin he was there. He said that he was really sacred. She told him that she was really great full for him so she told him to sit down and have dinner . the next day we invented him to Disney . I was really getting sick of him so I got lost on propose . so that was really stupid of me cause that is a big park and I was all alone . so when they found me I got in trouble . I really need that because I was out of line when I did that .Then I was on my way back to Chicago that asked why I did that . I said because that old man was getting on nerves . They told me that that was my uncle so that was my greatest adventure
ReplyDeleteLast summer I had an great adventure trying out for a Tyler Prerry Play, I practiced everyday and every night nun stop getting ready for an acting career. The day before the auddition I was very nervous but yet still excited about it. The next morning my mom, dad, & I prayed still I knew I had God by my side once we got there I was given a number, I waited for about an hour or so , I greeted my self and tryed out. Badly I didn't get the part but it was an great adventure & this summer I'll do it again :)
ReplyDeleteThe word Adventure to me is just a short cut for explore. I’ve been to few places and they were all plain and simple. But I still have an imagination of a 10 year old boy. Cause I still I have a child in me. And my cousin Michael is always there by my side in all my adventures, travels ,discovery’s ,journeys ,explores , nature walks or whatever you want to name it.

Is when I played as a price who inherited 14 kingdoms from his father the great king Erin lay-vest al-cep-acobro, who was a very loving human being like no other? He also found an old well with magical water and then... they were exposed to magic, everyone in this village that lies with in this Kingdome, was invited to the ivy potatoes garden that belonged to the king and was a part of his castle. I played as the king son and my cousin played as my brother. Who was to inherit all of the 14 kingdoms because my father has one child, which by the way means that he didn’t know I was his son. Even though I was side by side with him for all my life, when I was a young boy, My father went to war in the trinity Dust Mountains. He was gone for a month and then returned with only one leg and an arm. My brother and I were crushed of course. But I never had a chance to communicate with him nor my father ever since I was born. The servants has told a lie and spread rumors that I died during birth, and my mother has vanished after my birth. Which my father never had a chance to see, I was never able to call my dad father. They told me to call him lord. So I did, no questions asked. During this adventure we went to the huge field with millions of huge rocks, It began to rain really hard. During this time, my imaginary adventure became real.
Me and my cousin started to fight with sticks and throwing rocks and kicking dirt while at the same time slashing mucky mud every were on the field and ourselves. We had to leave because the weather was getting really windy and a huge rain and lightning storm was passing by.
That’s my wild adventure that I will never forget.
An adventure that had was about a year ago. I wanted to go to my aunt's house for my cousins party two days later. My mom was sick, so i asked her "should stay home and take care of you". She said "no go ahead and go". We watched the news for a couple of minutes to see the traffic on the freeway before we had left; the news castor said " that traffic was pretty backed up. My mom did'nt have any choose but to take the street way to my aunt's house.We are just a few minutes on the road going through every single traffic light. We are almost there when my thinks she should go right when we should go left on the road. So thirty minutes goes fast on this dark pitch black road when come to a old wooden shed bridge. What was scary about it was my mom and I both seen bats at the top of the shed bridge. We had no choose but to go across the bumpy old rusty bridge. At the end of the bridge was a lot of people, my mom stopped and asked for directions. Come to find out we where in Kennesaw,Ga we were just about to go the mountain. We where supposed to be going to Powder Springs,Ga. So we finally found our way back to where we supposed to be. That's is my adventure.

ReplyDeleteOn a pitch black night , i was walking down the street . while i was walking down the street i saw a bright light shining . So , i followed the light . and when i got there i was blinded . It was the brightest glow bug i had ever saw . In a blink the glow bug was gone . I looked around and saw it flying all the way down the street . So , i followed it , and while i followed it i ran into mean dogs , stray cats , and almost got hit by a huge 18 - wheeler truck . But the glow bug was so amazing and fascinating , i couldnt stop following it . Then it turnt down the street of Campbelton Road , I saw billions of the brightest glow bugs you will ever see . As soon as I got home i was super tired . Then i thought to myself , " it was worth it."
